Conspiracies of the Jews

"Serving the Lord with all humility, and with tears, and temptations which befell me by the CONSPIRACIES OF THE JEWS"
- St. Paul, Acts of the Apostles 20:19

What exactly is anti-Semitism? This is a recurring theme that we have been seeing all over the news recently. Anti-Semitism is a term used to describe prejudice against or hostility towards Jews, rooted in an aversion to their ethnic background. Anti-Semitism, when understood in this light is racism, just plain wrong and evil.

HOWEVER

There is another concept that has been getting all too much credence these days and that is the concept that anyone who criticizes Israel, disbelieves the so-called holocaust (or specifically, whoever rejects the concept of gas chambers having been used for the destruction of 6 million Jews), or thinks that it is possible for certain Jewish leaders or men of influence to be perpetrating a hoax, are anti-Semites. This is a ridiculous position for anyone to hold, and it necessarily implies that the only way one can escape the charge of anti-Semitism is to hold to the exact opposite position, that is, that all Jews are incapable of deception or malice, as though they are somehow above fallen human nature. This is a ridiculous double standard.

Furthermore, for any believing Catholic, to deny that the Jewish race and their spiritual offspring bear the guilt for murdering Jesus Christ, means denying the Scriptures and the sentiments of the Catholic Church. Scripture makes it quite clear that the Jews who practice the Old Law, as though it were still in force and had the power to sanctify, not only bear the guilt of deicide (murdering God the Son in His human nature), but they also bear the guilt of original sin, which can be washed away only by baptism in water.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16: “For you, brethren, are become followers of the churches of God which are in Judea, in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they have from the Jews, Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us, and please not God, and are adversaries to all men; Prohibiting us to speak to the Gentiles, that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the end.”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, 1442, ex cathedra: “It [the Catholic Church] firmly believes, professes and teaches that the legal prescriptions of the old Testament or the Mosaic law, which are divided into ceremonies, holy sacrifices and sacraments, because they were instituted to signify something in the future, although they were adequate for the divine cult of that age, once our lord Jesus Christ who was signified by them had come, came to an end and the sacraments of the new Testament had their beginning. Whoever, after the passion, places his hope in the legal prescriptions and submits himself to them as necessary for salvation and as if faith in Christ without them could not save, sins mortally.”

Bearing these things in mind, what is to be said of so-called ‘holocaust deniers’ like the schismatic Bishop Williamson of the SSPX?

Williamson has faced a great deal of flak from his peers as well as from his antipope, Ratzinger, A.K.A. Benedict XVI. Ratzinger said that if he had known about Williamson’s belief he would not have lifted the so-called ‘excommunication’. This is a ridiculous position, which only serves to further illustrate the apostasy of the Vatican II sect and what their true agenda is; not the promulgation of the Gospel, but to lick the boots of Christ-hating Jews.

There is nothing anti-Semitic about the term Christ-hating Jews. It is a term that applies to all Jews who hate Christ, and is purely descriptive in nature, adding nothing emotional. Jews who do not hate Christ, and have converted to the Catholic faith, are obviously not included in this description, just as they would have been be exonerated of their guilt by God if only they would turn to Him, asking for forgiveness. They must not turn to God as they remember Him in the Old Testament, since He has lovingly shown Himself more fully in the Most Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who for our salvation from sin and the wages of sin took flesh, suffered and died, and God the Holy Ghost.

Note:  Today's Israelis are NOT the spiritual descendants of the Israelites of the Old Testament, but rather are the descendants of the Pharisees.

Jewish Encyclopedia, Pharisees: " ... with the destruction of the temple [in 70 A.D.] the Sadducees disappeared altogether, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the Pharisees; ... the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view, ... Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future."

One need only take a look at the immoral teachings contained in Jewish tradition, i.e. in their Babylonian Talmud, to see that they are not of God. And there are a number of areas in which the Jews can be linked directly to conspiracies against against humankind (encouraged by the sinful counsels of their evil book), and they all seem to tend in one direction:  towards the establishment of a new order whereby the world is enslaved by a small handful of the financial elite.

This article provides resources from people whose research has shown much of the evidence that we must beware "[T]he Jews, Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us, and please not God, and are adversaries to all men." - St. Paul, 1 Thessalonians 2:14-15

The Holocaust

A conspiracy theory is only a theory when it is based entirely on speculation, being void of any evidence. It is no longer a theory when evidence appears that cannot be denied.  The evidence piles up and amounts to a veritable mountain of proof that the holocaust story was and is a conspiracy, supporting an agenda.

The exposure of evidence has been piling up for decades, even from the very start of the so-called holocaust, in fact, the number '6, 000, 000' was even tossed around by certain Jews nearly a century ago around the end of the First World War. The difference is that the world didn't buy it back then.

This website (click on the link) contains a series of videos with hard historical and physical evidence that the so-called holocaust is simply a rehash of a previously failed hoax, which was perpetrated to generate sympathy and help propel the Jewish people into a position of political power. Be warned there are some scenes containing immodesty, and the owner of this blog in no way agrees with and does not in any way support or defend any non-Catholic or heretical material that may appear.

This cartoon sums up many of the holes in the holocaust story:
Holocaust Hoax.jpg

The holocaust story conjures up emotional responses and prompts many who uncritically receive it to react irrationally to any implication that the official Jewry is not entirely "kosher".  This public sympathy, in turn, has contributed to the Jews free run to do practically anything they want on the international stage, without fear of any political repercussions.

CRISIS: THE COUNTERFEIT ‘CATHOLIC’ CHURCH

More people nowadays are becoming aware that there has been set up a counterfeit church, which is believed by many to be Catholic but truly is not. What has happened is the so-called popes following Antipope Leo XIII, have all been public heretics or schismatics, which means that they are not Catholic, nor popes at all, but antipopes. This means that most of the world has been buying into a lie for over 100 years. If this is so hard to believe, consider the remarkable level of detail in which the post-Catholic church, The Vatican 2 sect, the Novus Ordo, the counterfeit church, the apostate church, or whatever you call it, is prefigured in the Apocalypse (called Revelation by Protestant heretics).

Remember the divinity of Scripture as you read the following quotes, and consider that they are not predictions, but God observing what He knows from outside of time.  He tells us so we can be ready and know what to look for:

Apocalypse 13:7: "And it was given unto him [the dragon] to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation."

Apocalypse 18:1-5: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen […] Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…"

The primacy of authority of St. Peter and his legitimate successors, as taught by Scripture and the Early Church Fathers, has already been discussed.  It is important to understand and believe this dogma in order to fully grasp the scope of this chapter. It is further relevant to note the following dogmatic decree on infallibility issued by Pope Pius IX at the close Vatican Council in 1870.

Pope Pius IX, Vatican Council, 1870, ex cathedra: “Therefore, faithfully adhering to the tradition received from the beginning of the Christian faith, to the glory of God our savior, for the exaltation of the Catholic religion and for the salvation of the Christian people, with the approval of the Sacred Council, we teach and define as a divinely revealed dogma that when the Roman Pontiff speaks EX CATHEDRA, that is, when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church, he possesses, by the divine assistance promised to him in blessed Peter, that infallibility which the divine Redeemer willed his Church to enjoy in defining doctrine concerning faith or morals. Therefore, such definitions of the Roman Pontiff are of themselves, and not by the consent of the Church, irreformable.”

This definition is important to know and understand when dealing with the issue of the counterfeit church. God the Holy Ghost speaks through the Holy Roman Pontiff when he utters such decrees, and we know that in these matters he is protected from making any errors in matters of faith and morals when teaching in virtue of his apostolic authority with the intent to bind all the faithful to obedience to and belief in his decrees. Keep this in mind when reading the following quotes from valid Catholic popes:

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, 1441, ex cathedra: "Therefore the Holy Roman Church condemns, reproves, anathematizes …whoever holds opposing or contrary views."

Why is the Church so severe? Because anybody who believes contrary to the Church believes contrary to the very teachings of God, who’s Church She is. It is very important to keep doctrine pure, so as not to offend God by giving Him lip service only. We must say, “Yes Lord, I believe ALL that Thou hast taught.” Remember, Christ came to earth to establish this Church so that we may attain salvation through Her and only Her.

Pope Leo X, Fifth Lateran Council, Session 8, 1513: "And since truth cannot contradict truth, we define that every statement contrary to the enlightened truth of the faith is totally false… We decree that all those who cling to erroneous statements of this kind… should be avoided in every way and punished as detestable and odious heretics and infidels…"

Understanding that the Holy Ghost does not allow popes to exercise their infallibility to speak anything contrary to the Truth, we must now find out what they have infallibly defined about those who hold opposing, erroneous views.

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Cantate Domino, 1442, ex cathedra: “…all those who are outside the catholic church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the catholic church before the end of their lives.”

Pope Eugene, speaking with the God given charism of infallibility, tells us some of the types of people who are outside the Church, and this includes heretics. So what exactly is a heretic? A heretic is someone who does not have the Divine and Catholic Faith, a person who denies teachings that all Catholics must believe.

Pope Pius IX, Vatican Council, Session 3, Chapter 3, Paragraph 8, AD 1870, ex cathedra: “Wherefore, by divine and Catholic faith all those things are to be believed which are contained in the word of God as found in Scripture and tradition, and which are proposed by the Church as matters to be believed as divinely revealed, whether by her solemn judgment or in her ordinary and universal magisterium.”

So a heretic is a person who obstinately denies any teaching contained Scripture and Tradition, and those which are proposed by the Church’s Solemn Magisterium or Ordinary and Universal Magisterium. When we put all these decrees together, we see that despite being validly baptized, a Catholic who adopts a heretical opinion and retains it even though they have been admonished, ceases to be Catholic, ceases to be a member of the Church. Now we must know what our conduct should be in the presence of such people and fortunately for us, God has already revealed to us what that is to be.

Titus 3:10-11: “A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid: Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.”

2 John 1:10: “If any man come to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him, God speed you.”

A ‘priest’ or ‘bishop’ who appears to be a heretic in the public forum, if he has not proven his Catholicity by denouncing the heresy he appears to hold, is to be considered as a heretic and outside of the Church. He is a person who is not Catholic, and one who is outside the Church cannot hold office in the Church, pure and simple. If it is seen that the person was a heretic before they appeared to hold office, then they never validly held office at all, but merely usurped it, and in reality, the office would be vacant, until a Catholic were to take possession of it.

This is exactly what has happened. At one point in history there was a Catholic pope, who, after his death, was not succeeded by another Catholic pope. Instead, a man usurped the papacy, being in reality a heretic, a ravening wolf in the clothing of sheep. Once this horrible precedent had occurred, there was no turning back, and for almost a century now, we have had heretical antipope after heretical antipope.

The Case against Leo XIII (and Pius X)
The Case against Benedict XV
The Case against Pius XI
The Case against Pius XII

Since Leo XIII was a manifest heretic, even before his "election", each of the successive antipopes have been non-Catholics as a result of their schismatic for their adherence to the line of antipopes. A pope cannot come from a line of antipopes any more than an Eastern Schismatic "Orthodox" Bishop can be elected to the Holy See. For this reason among others, it is correct to assert that all of the successors Benedict XV have been antipopes. Their names are Pius XI, Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Each of these men, additionally to being schismatic for willingly following an antipope, explicitly taught heretical doctrines, performed manifest acts of heresy or apostasy, instituted disciplinary teachings (not binding on Catholics, since they were not popes remember) that would lead people to doubt or renounce their faith, and some of these men did all of the above! We jump ahead nearly a century from Benedict XV to see what the current antipope has been up to in order to prove himself a heretic:

Heretic antipope Benedict XVI (writing before his antipapacy, as Joseph ‘Cardinal’ Ratzinger): The Jewish People and their Sacred Scriptures in the Christian Bible, 2001: “Judaism necessarily involves an implicit acceptance of all its presuppositions… which exclude faith in Jesus as Messias and Son of God… Christians can and ought to admit that the Jewish reading of the Bible is a possible one.”

This is obvious apostasy and an insult to our Lord! It a denial of the Divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ, by saying that Christians ought to admit the possibility that the Jews are right! The Jews are wrong! The Old Testament clearly predicts Jesus Christ, and only the blind are unable to see it! There are many other examples that could be given but this suffices to demonstrate that he is not Catholic and not the pope, but an antipope.

Today, correctly believing that there is no pope in the Holy See, is to believe a position, which is called sedevacantism. This is from the Latin, which means the chair (sede) is vacant (vacante), that is to say, the chair of St. Peter. One cannot be a Catholic and believe that a heretic sits validly in the chair of St. Peter. To believe that such a man is Catholic renders a person heretical, for denial of the Council of Florence, which states that heretics are outside the Church, among other infallible decrees. To worship with in communion with these men or people who accept them is contrary to constant Catholic Tradition. Don’t do it.

Sedevacantists believe the incredible, that is, that almost the whole world has been deceived by satan and his antipopes, however those who are aware of the heresies of these false teachers, and still accept them as true popes believe the impossible! That the gates of hell can prevail against the Church!

St. Matthew 16:18: “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Pope Vigilius Second Council of Constantinople, ex cathedra: “…we bear in mind what was promised about the holy church and him who said that the gates of hell will not prevail against it (by these we understand the death-dealing tongues of heretics)…”

St. Francis De Sales, Doctor of the Church, The Catholic Controversy (p. 305-306), 17th Century: "Now when he [the Pope] is explicitly a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church…"

St. Antoninus, 1459: "In the case in which the pope would become a heretic, he would find himself, by that fact alone and without any other sentence, separated from the Church. A head separated from a body cannot, as long as it remains separated, be head of the same body from which it was cut off. A pope who would be separated from the Church by heresy, therefore, would by that very fact itself cease to be head of the Church. He could not be a heretic and remain pope, because, since he is outside of the Church, he cannot possess the keys of the Church."

There are some who argue against the sedevacantist position, attempting to state that if the Church has no pope or no visible hierarchy that it would cease to exist and that for this reason the position must be false. It should be noted that the four marks of the Church do not include visibility. These four marks are as follows:

ONE (Romans 12:5: “So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”)

HOLY (Ephesians 5:25-26: “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it: That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life.”)

CATHOLIC ([from the Greek katholikos, meaning universal] St. Matthew 28:19-20: “Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.”)

APOSTOLIC (Ephesians 2:19-20: “Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and the domestics of God, Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”)

These marks of the Church have been infallibly declared in the Solemn Magisterium.

First Council of Constantinople, AD 381: “We believe… in one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.”

Another argument, which needs to be properly refuted, is that the Vatican Council infallibly defined that there would be popes forever until the end of time. They quote the following decrees from the Vatican Council:

Pope Pius IX, Vatican Council, Chapter 2. On the permanence of the primacy of blessed Peter in the Roman pontiff, paragraph 1, ex cathedra: "That which our lord Jesus Christ, the prince of shepherds and great shepherd of the sheep, established in the blessed apostle Peter, for the continual salvation and permanent benefit of the Church, must of necessity remain for ever, by Christ's authority, in the Church which, founded as it is upon a rock, will stand firm until the end of time"

Pope Pius IX, Vatican Council, Chapter 2. On the permanence of the primacy of blessed Peter in the Roman pontiff, paragraph 5, ex cathedra: "Therefore, if anyone says that it is not by the institution of Christ the Lord himself (that is to say, by divine law) that blessed Peter should have perpetual successors in the primacy over the whole Church; or that the Roman Pontiff is not the successor of blessed Peter in this primacy: let him be anathema."

Opponents of the sedevacantist position like to quote paragraphs 1 and 5 and state that these infallible declarations render the sedevacantist position impossible. They assert that it means the Church will never be without a pope. History is against them and reveals the absurdity of their position. The historical list of dozens of antipopes aside, there have been hundreds of periods of varying length when the Church has in fact been without a pope. These intervals are called interregnums, occurring between the death of one pontiff and the election of the next, and the Church has never defined a maximum amount of time that such an interregnum can occupy.

How does the infallibility of the above quotes remain intact? Simple. They do not mean that every single moment that the Church exists she must have a pope, nor that a pope must be present until the end of time. If it were to mean this then the only way we can reconcile this with infallibility is to assert that every time a Pontiff dies, the Church ceases to exist until a new one is elected. Absurd.

Paragraph 1 states that what was established in St. Peter must of necessity remain until the end of time. This is true whether we have a pope or not. The popes' infallible teachings, having been declared and archived, are truly available to every person, though with varying degrees of effort required. These infallible truths, have indeed remained, so even though we do not have a pope, we certainly have available to us what was established in St. Peter, and that is not to say that another pope is not in the Church's future. If there is a divine will there is a way. Suffice it to say that even if we don't have a pope (as has been the case many times and for many different lengths of time) we always, always, always have the papacy and the true Faith, which it teaches, defines and upholds.

Paragraph 5 states that St. Peter SHOULD have perpetual successors. It means exactly what it says, that by divine institution, St. Peter and his legitimate successors all enjoy the same power and primacy over the Church, and that it is forbidden to suppose that St. Peter was the only one to whom Christ gave this power, and that this order SHOULD never be altered. Naturally, if some claimant to the See of Peter were illegitimate, as many have been, or moreover if he denied the substance of the power of the primacy itself, he would not wield this power, even if he appeared to, since this power is derived from divine law, instituted by Christ.

The Bull Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio of Pope Paul IV is authoritative confirmation of this, explicitly asserting that heretics elected to the papacy are not elected at all and that all ‘papal’ their actions are null and void.

Remember, to 'interpret' a dogmatic decree to mean anything that challenges another dogmatic decree's infallibility means that it is being 'interpreted' wrongly. For example, we know that it is a dogma that heretics are outside of the Church (Council of Florence, 1439: All those outside the Church... heretics, schismatics, etc.), so how can a pope be outside the Church, yet a head of the same thing he is detached from? Unless we deny that heretics are outside the Church.

Then, opponents of sedevacantism, in a last ditch effort to get us to subject ourselves to their heretic antipopes, will quote the following infallible decree:

Pope Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctam, 1302, ex cathedra: “Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff.”

Unam Sanctum means that a person must be subject to the pope, but it doesn't necessarily mean the person of the pope but the office of the pope. Otherwise St. Vincent Ferrer was a schismatic, since he was unknowingly subject to the Avignon line of antipopes. He is not reckoned as a schismatic, since he was willing to submit to the person of the pope, and though he made a mistake and chose the wrong one, he still obediently accepted the authority of the office of the papacy and did his best to submit to it. The reason he can be excused is because there was no way to know that the Avignon antipopes were antipopes, since they were not heretical, like the antipopes since Benedict XV and the Vatican II antipopes.

Note that Apostolic is one of the marks of the Church, but this does not mean that there must always be successors to the Apostles, but rather that the Church always must follow the teachings of those successors. Today for example, since we have no pope, who would be the true successor of St. Peter, we must defer to the teachings of the true popes in history, which are available to anyone who looks for them. Only by believing and obeying the teachings of the true popes of the Holy Roman Catholic Church of the one true God, can we be truly members in the Body of Christ, the same Holy Church. Heretics, remember, are out. As long as there are people believing, obeying and professing the true Faith, there is a Catholic Church.

St. Athanasius: “Even if Catholics faithful to Tradition were reduced to a handful, they would be the true Church.”

St. Gregory Nazianzen: “Where are they who revile us for our poverty and pride themselves in their riches? They who define the Church by numbers and scorn the little flock?”

In short, it is neither a dogma, nor a logical deduction from a dogma, that there must be a living, visible hierarchy for the Church to exist and maintain Her indefectibility.

THE VATICAN II SECT IS A COUNTERFEIT CHURCH

Now in case there is any doubt left in the reader’s mind as to whether or not there is indeed a counterfeit church set up in Rome, here is a side by side comparison of some major doctrines. First are listed the doctrines of the false and counterfeit church, or Vatican II sect, and the true doctrine of the Holy Catholic Church. Notice that they are exact opposites.

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Dignitatis Humanae #2, 1965: This Vatican Council declares that the human person has a right to religious freedom. This freedom means that all men are to be immune from coercion on the part of individuals or of social groups and of any human power, in such wise that no one is to be forced to act in a manner contrary to his own beliefs, whether privately or publicly, whether alone or in association with others, within due limits."

Note: This teaching speaks broadly of religious freedom, without restriction. All religions, including false ones, are to be granted the same freedom and respect, as seen by the actions of the leaders of the Vatican II sect. According to the above teaching, false religions, such as Islam, Judaism, even Satanism could not be suppressed by the state.

The Catholic Church teaches:

Pope Pius IX, Syllabus Errorum, 1864: “Hence in certain regions of Catholic name, it has been laudably sanctioned by law that men immigrating there be allowed to have public exercises of any form of worship of their own.” – CONDEMNED

Pope Pius IX, Syllabus Errorum, 1864: “In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State, to the exclusion of all other forms of worship.” -- CONDEMNED

Pope Pius IX, Syllabus Errorum, 1864: “The Church is to be separated from the state, and the state from the Church.” -- CONDEMNED

COLLEGIALITY

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium, 1964: “The order of bishops, which succeeds to the college of apostles and gives this apostolic body continued existence, is also the subject of supreme and full power over the universal Church, provided we understand this body together with its head the Roman Pontiff and never without this head.”

The Catholic Church teaches:

Pope Pius IX, Vatican Council, Session 4, chap. 1, ex cathedra: “We teach and declare that, according to the gospel evidence, a primacy of jurisdiction over the whole Church of God was immediately and directly promised to the blessed apostle Peter and conferred on him by Christ the lord…And it was to Peter alone that Jesus, after his resurrection, confided the jurisdiction of Supreme Pastor and ruler of his whole fold, saying: Feed my lambs, feed my sheep. To this absolutely manifest teaching of the Sacred Scriptures, as it has always been understood by the Catholic Church, are clearly opposed the distorted opinions of those who misrepresent the form of government which Christ the lord established in his Church and deny that Peter, in preference to the rest of the apostles, taken singly or collectively, was endowed by Christ with a true and proper primacy of jurisdiction.”

Note: Collegiality teaches that the bishops, together with the pope, share supreme authority over the Church. The Catholic Church clearly condemns this. The Catholic Church teaches that the pope (and the pope alone) has been given the keys. The pope (and the pope alone) has supreme authority over the Catholic Church.

THE BLOOD-GUILT OF ALL GENERATIONS OF JEWS

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Nostra Aetate, 1965: “Although the Church is the new people of God, the Jews should not be presented as rejected or accursed by God, as if this followed from the Holy Scriptures.”

The Catholic Church teaches:

Before delving into this topic, which may be sensitive for some, understand that this applies only to people of Jewish descent who do not come to embrace the true Faith of Jesus Christ, as all men ought.

Second Council of Constantinople, Canon 10, 553 AD: “If anyone does not confess his belief that our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified in his human flesh, is truly God and the Lord of glory and one of the members of the holy Trinity: let him be anathema.”

Pope Clement VIII: “The Bible itself says that the Jews are an accursed people.”

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16: “For you, brethren, are become followers of the churches of God which are in Judea, in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things from your own coutrymen, even as they have from the Jews, Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us, and please not God, and are adversaries to all men; Prohibiting us to speak to the Gentiles, that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the end.” (CURSED!)

1 Corinthians 16:22: “If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema (cursed)…”

St. Matthew 10:33: “But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.”

1 St. John 2:22-24: “Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. He that confesseth the Son, hath the Father also.”

St. John 8:42-44: “Jesus therefore said to them (the Jews): If God were your Father, you would indeed love me. For from God I proceeded, and came; for I came not of myself, but he sent me… You are of your father the devil…”

St. Matthew 27:25: “And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.”

St. Augustine: “Their understanding of Scripture is carnal; they bear the guilt for the death of the Savior, for through their fathers they have killed Christ. The Jews held Him; the Jews insulted Him; the Jews bound Him; they crowned Him with thorns and dishonored Him by spitting upon Him; they scourged him; they heaped abuses upon Him; they hung Him upon a tree.”

St. Basil the Great: “If someone should kill the beloved son of a man, and then stretch forth their hands still stained with blood to the afflicted father, asking for fellowship, would not the blood of his son, visible on the hand of his murderer, provoke him to just anger instead? And such are the prayers of the Jews, for when they stretch forth their hands in prayer, they only remind God-the-Father of their sin against His Son. And at every stretching-forth of their hands, they only make it obvious that they are stained with the blood of Christ. For they who persevere in their blindness inherit the blood-guilt of their fathers; for they cried out: "His blood be upon us, and upon our children" (Matthew 27:25).”

It is clear, the Catholic Church not only teaches that Jews are accursed, but She tells us that it comes directly from the Holy Scriptures. There is a clear contradiction between Vatican II and the Catholic Church’s teaching. The Church Fathers are unanimous in interpreting Scriptures as teaching the Jews are cursed. Both the Council of Trent (1543-1567) and the Vatican Council (1870) declared that when reading the Scriptures, we are never to stray from the unanimous interpretation of the Church Fathers.

Council of Trent, Session 4, Decree Decree Concerning the Edition, and the use, of the Sacred Books, ex cathedra: “Furthermore, in order to restrain petulant spirits, It decrees, that no one, relying on his own skill, shall,--in matters of faith, and of morals pertaining to the edification of Christian doctrine, --wresting the sacred Scripture to his own senses, presume to interpret the said sacred Scripture contrary to that sense which holy mother Church,--whose it is to judge of the true sense and interpretation of the holy Scriptures,--hath held and doth hold; or even contrary to the unanimous consent of the Fathers; even though such interpretations were never (intended) to be at any time published.”

Vatican Council Session 3, Chapter 2, Paragraph 9, ex catehdra: “In consequence, it is not permissible for anyone to interpret Holy Scripture in a sense contrary to this, or indeed against the unanimous consent of the fathers.”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Session 11, ex cathedra: "It firmly believes, professes and teaches that the legal prescriptions of the old Testament or the Mosaic law, which are divided into ceremonies, holy sacrifices and sacraments, because they were instituted to signify something in the future, although they were adequate for the divine cult of that age, once our lord Jesus Christ who was signified by them had come, came to an end and the sacraments of the new Testament had their beginning. Whoever, after the passion, places his hope in the legal prescriptions and submits himself to them as necessary for salvation and as if faith in Christ without them could not save, sins mortally."

THE MOHAMMEDANS (MUSLIMS)

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Nostra Aetate, 1965: “The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth…”

The Catholic Church teaches:

Athanasian Creed: “And the Catholic Faith is this, that we worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity…So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not Three Gods, but One God…the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal.”

1 St. John 2:22-23: “Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father.”

Pope Sixtus III, Council of Ephesus, 431 AD: “If anyone dares to say that Christ was a God-bearing man and not rather God in truth…let him be anathema.”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Cantate Domino, 1442: “First, then, the holy Roman church, founded on the words of our Lord and Saviour, firmly believes, professes and preaches one true God, almighty, immutable and eternal, Father, Son and holy Spirit…Most firmly it believes, professes and preaches that the one true God, Father, Son and holy Spirit, is the creator of all things that are, visible and invisible…It professes that one and the same God is the author of the old and the new Testament…since the saints of both testaments spoke under the inspiration of the same Spirit.”

Exodus 20:2-3: “I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.”

Note: Clearly Catholics worship the Most Holy Trinity. Clearly Catholics worship Jesus Christ, Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity. The Mohammedans reject Christ and say that the Trinity is “blasphemy”. To state that the Mohammedans (who explicitly reject and condemn Christ and the Trinity) actually worship the true God is blasphemy and apostasy. To reject Christ is to reject the God the Father. To reject the God of the New Testament is to reject the God of the Old Testament. To worship a god contrary to that of the New Testament is to worship a false god, which is forbidden by the First Commandment. This statement from Vatican II constitutes apostasy. It is an implicit, yet unequivocal, denial of Christ and the Trinity.

MANKIND’S JUDGE

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium, 1964: "But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Mohammedans, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind."

The Catholic Church teaches:

St. John 5:22: “For neither doth the Father judge any man, but hath given all judgment to the Son.”

Pope St. Leo IX, Congratulamur Vehementer, 1053: “I believe also that the Son of God the Father, the Word of God, was born eternally before all time from the Father…He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father…He will come to judge the living and the dead…”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Bull of Union with the Copts, 1442, ex cathedra: “It firmly believes, professes and preaches that the Son of God was truly born of the virgin in his assumed humanity, truly suffered, truly died and was buried, truly rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father and will come at the end of time to judge the living and the dead. It anathematizes, execrates and condemns every heresy that is tainted with the contrary.”

Pope Damasus I, Council of Rome, Canon 15, 382 AD, ex cathedra: “If anyone does not say that He (Jesus Christ…will come to judge the living and the dead, he is a heretic.”

Note: It could not possibly be more clear. It is a dogma that Jesus Christ will be our Judge on the Last Day. The Mohammedans reject Jesus Christ. The Mohammedans don’t worship Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not their God. So how then can the God of the Mohammedans judge us on the Last Day? This is heresy because it is a denial of the dogma that Christ will be our Judge.

PRAYING WITH NON-CATHOLICS

The Vatican II sect teaches:

Antipope Paul VI, Second Vatican Council, Unitatis Redintegratio, 1964: “In certain special circumstances, such as in prayer services “for unity” and during ecumenical gatherings, it is allowable, indeed desirable, that Catholics should join in prayer with their separate brethren...the gaining of needed grace sometimes commends.”

The Catholic Church teaches:

Third Council of Constantinople: “If any ecclesiastic or layman shall go into the synagogue of the Jews or the meeting-houses of the heretics to join in prayer with them, let them be deposed and deprived of communion. If any bishop or priest or deacon shall join in prayer with heretics, let him be suspended from communion.”

Council of Carthage: “One must neither pray nor sing psalms with heretics, and whosoever shall communicate with those who are cut off from the communion of the Church, whether clergy or layman, let him be excommunicated.”

Council of Laodicea: “No one shall pray in common with heretics and schismatics.”

There are many other heresies contained in the documents of this apostate council which were not mentioned in this exposé, such as the evolution of dogma, the notion that the Holy Scriptures can err, the notion that public revelation did not end with the death of the last apostle, the encouragement of praying with heretics and schismatics, a denial of the unity of the Catholic Church, the notion that heretics and schismatics are joined to the Catholic Church, etc.

The men behind this false Council were heretics, since they directly contradict the infallible teaching authority of the Catholic Church. Just one heresy is proof that Vatican II was a non-Catholic council. Just one heresy is sufficient evidence for any honest and good-willed person who truly desires to be Catholic to see that Vatican II was a break away from the Catholic Faith, and yet here we have seen eight of them.

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, "Cantate Domino," 1441, ex cathedra: "The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels…"

It cannot be stressed enough, that heretics are outside the Church, they are non-Catholics and thus cannot be priests, bishops, cardinals or popes. We are all at fault for this catastrophe for not obeying God as we ought to.

2 Thessalonians 2:10: “And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:”

Many people think it is just some silly conspiracy theory, but the Scriptures tell us that it will indeed get this bad.

St. Luke 18:8: “…But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?”

Amos 8:11: “Behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will send forth a famine into the land: not a famine of bread, nor a thirst of water, but of hearing the word of the Lord.”

Matthew 24:24: “For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.”

Apocalypse 12:17: “And the dragon was angry against the woman: and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Apocalypse 13:7: “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.”
So what can we do?

Apocalypse 18:3-4: “Because all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication; and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her; and the merchants of the earth have been made rich by the power of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: Go out from her, my people; that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.”

From the Catholic teachings contained in this article, the course of action for any person who wished to save their immortal soul from hell is clear. Go out from the false Vatican II sect and every other sect that is associated with them and that includes the SSPX, the CMRI and almost all ‘Traditional Catholic’ groups. If you are 'worshiping' in the Novus Ordo/Vatican II sect or with anybody who is in communion with them or any heretics or schismatics at all, then you are not Catholic. You need to learn the true Catholic Faith, and convert to it, or you cannot attain salvation.

Is the Most Holy Trinity based in Scripture?

Some religious sects believe that the Lord is one God. This is a praiseworthy and scriptural belief. God is indeed one in divinity, power and substance. Anyone who fails to hold to this truth is not a true Christian. Jehovah's Witnesses, using a corrupt 'bible' and following the doctrines of men (or rather of demons) completely deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ and the plurality of persons in the one true God. Many Pentecostals believe that the Lord is one God as well, but they also deny the plurality of persons in God. They teach the ‘Oneness’ of God, a heretical system of belief that is alien to the Holy Scriptures and is all too closely related to the apostasy of the Muslims who take this doctrine one step further and deny the divinity of Jesus Christ, and whose religion is blatantly false as are their 'scriptures'.

The correct position is that position expounded in Holy Scripture, which has been held and taught from antiquity by the Holy Catholic Church: The Lord is one God in three Divine Persons. Let us first see what the Church says, and then we will examine the Scriptures:

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Sess. 8, Nov. 22, 1439, ex cathedra (Athanasian Creed):
  • “...we worship one God in the Trinity, and the Trinity in unity, neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance.
  • For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the holy Spirit. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son and of the holy Spirit is one, the glory equal, and the majesty co-eternal.
  • Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the holy Spirit. The Father uncreated the Son uncreated and the holy Spirit uncreated. The Father infinite, the Son infinite and the holy Spirit infinite. The Father eternal, the Son eternal and the holy Spirit eternal. Yet they are not three eternals, but one eternal. As also they are not three uncreateds nor three infinites, but one uncreated and one infinite.
  • Likewise the Father is almighty, the Son is almighty and the holy Spirit is almighty. Yet they are not three almighties, but one almighty. Likewise the Father is God, the Son is God and the holy Spirit is God. Yet they are not three gods, but one God. Likewise the Father is Lord, the Son is Lord and the holy Spirit is Lord. Yet they are not three lords, but one Lord.
  • For just as we are compelled by the Christian truth to acknowledge each person by himself to be God and Lord, so we are forbidden by the Catholic religion to say there are three gods or three lords.
  • The Father is made by none, neither created nor begotten. The Son is from the Father alone; not made nor created, but begotten. The holy Spirit is from the Father and the Son; not made nor created nor begotten, but proceeding.
  • So there is one Father, not three fathers; one Son, not three sons; one holy Spirit, not three holy spirits. And in this Trinity nothing is before or after, nothing is greater or less; but the whole three persons are co-eternal together and co-equal.
  • So that in all things, as has been said above, the unity in Trinity and the Trinity in unity is to be worshiped.
  • Whoever, therefore, wishes to be saved, let him think thus of the Trinity.”

Now we must examine this dogma of the Catholic Church in light of Scripture and see if it is supported or opposed.

Genesis 1:26: “And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.”

God is speaking here as a group, rather than an individual, as seen by the words “Let us” and “our image”. One must at this point make a decision. Either God is speaking nonsense, or there is a reason for His choice of wording.

Christ used similar wording in his discussion with Nicodemus, wording indicating plurality of persons.

St. John 3:11: “Amen, amen I say to thee, that we speak what we know, and we testify what we have seen, and you receive not our testimony.”

Genesis 2:18: “And the Lord God said: It is not good for man to be alone: let us make him a help like unto himself.”

Here is another indication of God speaking from plurality. This brings up a question: Is God in fact multiple gods, and Monotheists are wrong? The Bible has the infallible answer:

Deuteronomy 6:4: “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.”

We know that to deny the singular nature of God is to deny the very Word of God, and this would make us heretics and set us firmly upon the road to perdition. So how can we reconcile this with the Catholic belief that the Lord is one God in three Divine Persons?

1 St. John 5:7-8: “And there are three who give testimony in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one…”

This verse teaches a clear distinction of persons in the one God. There is no other choice, one simply must admit that St. John the Evangelist tells us that “there are three” distinct persons who are nevertheless one. There is further support for this assertion in the next verse.

St. Luke 3:22: “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape, as a dove upon him; and a voice came from heaven: Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”

God the Father here speaks to God the Word/God the Son, while God the Holy Ghost descends upon him for all to see. Either God was attempting to mislead people at the beginning of Jesus ministry by misrepresenting Himself, or He was demonstrating the truth of His nature.

St. John 14:26: “But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.”

Christ tells us that the Father, in Christ’s name, will send the Holy Ghost. We either have God playing hard to get and misleading people as to the plurality of persons involved in the divine being, or we have Him showing Himself plainly.

The Holy Ghost is the third Person of the Most Holy Trinity

St. Luke 1:35: "And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."

The Blessed Virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Ghost. Christ is the Son of God, therefore it is evidently clear that the holy Ghost is God.

1 Corinthians 3:16: "Know you not, that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "Or know you not, that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, who is in you, whom you have from God; and you are not your own? For you are bought with a great price. Glorify and bear God in your body."

St. Paul tells the faithful, in the same epistle, both that they are the temple of God and the Temple of the Holy Ghost.  It is a clear and unavoidable conclusion that the Holy Ghost is therefore God.

St. Matthew 28:19: "Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

The Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost: three distinct names for three distinct Persons who are one in the Divine nature, as stated by St. John above (1 St. John 5:8).

Finally, in order to bring the question to a decisive end (as though any more proofs were needed), we will look to the book of the Apocalypse, or as it is called in Protestant 'Bibles', Revelation, chapters 4 and 5:

Apocalypse 4:10-11: “The four and twenty ancients fell down before him that sitteth on the throne, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory, and honour, and power: because thou hast created all things; and for thy will they were, and have been created.”

Nobody will deny that here we see the saints in heaven praising God, who sits on the throne. Now let us look at chapter 5 to see the puzzle pieces fall nicely into place, proving the plurality of persons in the One True God.

Apocalypse 5:1-3: “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book written within and without, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man was able, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to look on it.”

So we see that nobody is considered worthy to open this book. But wait! The book is in the hand of God Almighty! Why does He not open the book? How is God not worthy?  Let us examine the text that follows to understand:

Apocalypse 5:4-10: “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it. And one of the ancients said to me: Weep not; behold the lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing as it were slain… And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne. And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures, and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb… And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation. And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.”

Now it all makes sense. He who sits on the throne in Apocalypse 4 and 5 is God the Father, who is not counted worthy to open the book. Naturally, He is certainly able to do so by the power of His divinity, but for the sake of divine justice, only the Lamb, God the Son, is worthy to open it, for it was He who died upon the cross for humanity, thus it is His just due that He should be the one to open the book. Clearly, God the Father and God the Son are distinctly unique persons, though sharing the same Divine nature.

Apocalypse shows us that we cannot assert that God the Father died on the cross, or He would have considered Himself worthy to open the book. Only Jesus Christ died on the cross, not God the Father, nor God the Holy Ghost. To assert that God is one God and one Person necessarily means stating that God the Father died on the cross, but this is a heresy, which was condemned by the Catholic Church as Patripassionism.

The reason that the Catholic Church has always taught that the Lord is one God in three Divine Persons is because She is the one Church established by Jesus Christ, outside of which there is no salvation. You need to learn the true Catholic Faith, and convert to it, or you cannot attain salvation.

Daily Examination of Conscience for Future Saints

Obtaining forgiveness of our sins in these days of the Great Apostasy

First of all, only people who have converted to the Catholic Faith can receive forgiveness of their sins, so if you have not done this yet, you should do so as soon as possible. You need to renounce all heresies, heretics and antipopes, learn the true Catholic Faith, and convert to it, or you cannot obtain salvation.

For Catholics, in these last days it is essential to examine one’s conscience daily, and to do it VERY WELL, and be firmly resolved to avoid all sin, insofar as we are able, and all occasions of sin. Since there are very few, if any, Catholic priests left in the world, that is to say few who have not lost the faith by holding to heresy, we may perform this exercise and confess our sins to a priest in the Communion of Saints daily (such as St. Dominic), doing penance, and praying for forgiveness and grace.

Without a priest available, it is also a good idea, if you are comfortable doing so, once your sins are thus confessed, to disclose them to a highly trusted Catholic friend, for the sake of humiliation, and you may even ask him to suggest penance for you. It has been related by saints that penance done out of obedience is more pleasing to God than penance done independently of our own free will (which also is pleasing to God), and a friend may be more inclined to suggest a penance that we do not like at all (which is very pleasing to God, if we do it from sincere contrition).

Pope Julius III, Council of Trent, Session 14, Chapter 4, ex cathedra: "Contrition, which holds the first place amongst the aforesaid acts of the penitent, is a sorrow of mind, and a detestation for sin committed, with the purpose of not sinning for the future. This movement of contrition was at all times necessary for obtaining the pardon of sins; and, in one who has fallen after baptism, it then at length prepares for the remissions of sins, when it is united with confidence in the divine mercy, and with the desire of performing the other things which are required for rightly receiving this sacrament.

"Wherefore the holy Synod declares, that this contrition contains not only a cessation from sin, and the purpose and the beginning of a new life, but also a hatred of the old, agreeably to that saying; Cast away from you all your iniquities, wherein you have transgressed, and make to yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. And assuredly he who has considered those cries of the saints; To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee, I have laboured in my groaning, every night I will wash my bed, I will recount to thee all my years, in the bitterness of my soul, and others of this kind, will easily understand that they flowed from a certain vehement hatred of their past life, and from an exceeding detestation of sins.

"The Synod teaches moreover, that, although it sometimes happen that this contrition is perfect through charity, and reconciles man with God before this sacrament be actually received, the said reconciliation, nevertheless, is not to be ascribed to that contrition, independently of the desire of the sacrament which is included therein."

(always beg the Blessed Virgin, through the Holy Rosary, to obtain for you from God the grace of PERFECT CONTRITION, which is none other than Divine charity, the love of God)

"And as to that imperfect contrition, which is called attrition, because that it is commonly conceived either from the consideration of the turpitude of sin, or from the fear of hell and of punishment, It declares that if, with the hope of pardon, it exclude the wish to sin, it not only does not make a man a hypocrite, and a greater sinner, but that it is even a gift of God, and an impulse of the Holy Ghost, --who does not indeed as yet dwell in the penitent, but only moves him, --whereby the penitent being assisted prepares a way for himself unto justice.

"And although this (attrition) cannot of itself, without the sacrament of penance, conduct the sinner to justification, yet does it dispose him to obtain the grace of God in the sacrament of Penance. For, smitten profitably with this fear, the Ninivites, at the preaching of Jonas, did fearful penance and obtained mercy from the Lord. Wherefore falsely do some calumniate Catholic writers, as if they had maintained that the sacrament of Penance confers grace without any good motion on the part of those who receive it: a thing which the Church of God never taught, or thought: and falsely also do they assert that contrition is extorted and forced, not free and voluntary."

The Revelations of St. Birgitta of Sweden, Book 4, Chapter 89:

‘The Son speaks: “Whoever desires to be a fighter has to be noble in spirit and get up again if he falls, trusting not in his own power but in my mercy. A person who does not trust in my goodness has the following thoughts: 'If I make any attempts at restraining the flesh by fasting or struggling in vigil, I will not be able either to persevere or to keep myself from vices, for God does not help me' - that person deserves to fall.

“Hence, a person who wants to be a spiritual fighter trusts in me and is confident that he will be able to achieve it with the aid of my grace. So he should have the intention of doing good and avoiding evil and of getting up again whenever he falls. He should say this prayer:

'LORD God Almighty, Thou who guidest all souls toward the good, I am a sinner who has strayed far away from Thee through my own wrongdoing. I thank Thee for leading me back to the right path, and I ask Thee, gracious JESUS, who hung on the cross in blood and sorrow, to have mercy on me. I entreat Thee by Thy five wounds and by the pain that passed from Thy shattered veins to Thy heart. Deign to keep me safe today, lest I fall into sin. Give me the power to withstand the spears of the enemy and to get up again manfully, should I chance to fall into sin.'

In addition, in order that the fighter may be able to persevere in the good, let him pray in this way:

'O, LORD God, for whom nothing is impossible and who can do all things, give me the strength to carry out good works and to be able to persevere in the good.'

“After this, he should take his sword in hand, that is, he should make a good confession, which must be polished and gleaming. It must be polished by a careful examination of conscience regarding how and how much and where he has failed and why. It should also be gleaming in the sense that he must not be ashamed of anything nor hide anything nor describe a sin in a way other than he has committed it. This sword should have two sharp edges, namely, the intention of no longer sinning and the intention of making up for the sins he has committed. The point of the sword should be contrition. This slays the devil whenever a man who earlier delighted in sin feels contrition and sorrow for having provoked me, his God, to anger. The sword should have the hilt of the consideration of God's great mercy. His mercy is so great that no one is such a sinner that he cannot obtain forgiveness, provided he asks for it with a will to improve.

“The sword of confession, then, must be held with this idea that God has mercy on all. However, in order that his hand may not be cut by the edges, a piece of iron is placed in between the edge and the hilt. A pommel prevents the sword from falling from his hand. Similarly, a person who holds the sword of confession and hopes in God's mercy for the remittance and cleansing of sin must beware not to let it fall by presuming on God's forgiveness. To prevent this there is the bolt of godly fear that makes him afraid that God will take away his grace and display anger because of his presumption. In order that his operative hand may not be cut or impaired, a piece of iron is placed between the hand and the edge. This is the consideration of God's fairness, for, though my justice is so great that I leave nothing unexamined or unpunished, yet I am also so merciful and fair that I demand nothing beyond what nature can bear. Moreover, I forgive great punishment for the sake of a good intention and great sin in return for a little reparation.

“The knight's coat of mail represents abstinence. Just as a coat of mail consists of many small rings of chain, so too abstinence consists of many virtues, for example, abstinence from immoral sights or things affecting the other senses, from gluttony and lust and superfluity, and from many other things that St. Benedict laid down as forbidden. One cannot put this coat of mail on alone without another's help.

“Therefore, my Mother, the Virgin Mary, should be invoked and venerated, for every good example and type of virtue are to be found in her. If she is steadfastly invoked, she will indicate to your spirit all the perfect types of abstinence.

“The helmet stands for perfect hope. It has two openings, as it were, through which the knight can see. The first opening is the consideration of what things must be done, and the second that of what things must be avoided. Everyone who hopes in God should always consider what must be done or avoided in accordance with God's will. The shield stands for patience with the help of which one can cheerfully endure anything that happens.”

PRAYERS BEFORE EXAMINATION

Apostles’ Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of divine love. Send forth Thy Spirit and we shall be created. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

My God, I firmly believe that Thou art here present; that Thou knowest and seest all my sins, and that Thou alone canst give me light and grace to see and know in what way I have offended Thee. O dear JESUS, grant that I may examine my conscience well; that I may think of nothing which may distract me from the great duty which I am about to perform.

Mary, my dear Mother, pray for me. Amen.

PRAYERS BEFORE CONFESSION

CONFITEOR

I confess to almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin, to blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and to all the saints that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I beseech blessed Mary ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist, the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and all the saints, to pray for me to the LORD our God. Amen.

O Mary, Mother of JESUS, help me to be truly sorry for having displeased thy divine Son so that I, a despicable and wicked, sinner, may be washed from every stain and cleansed from every sin.

O LORD God, Heavenly King, deign that in Thy great condescension, I may be heard in the presence of the Holy Confessors in Thy heavenly host (or a specific priest, such as St. Dominc), to whom I now direct my confession, that I may hold back nothing that impedes Thee from entering into my soul and working in me with Thy grace. Grant, O merciful Father, that by this way I may be granted absolution, perfect contrition, true horror of even the smallest sin, and I beseech Thee, O loving JESUS, to bestow upon me those great gifts of sanctifying grace and final perseverance. Amen.

(Bless me father, for I have sinned...)

PRAYERS AFTER CONFESSION

ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God! I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.

ACT OF HOPE

O my God! Relying on Thy infinite goodness and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of JESUS Christ, my LORD and Redeemer.

PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING TO GOD

I thank and bless Thee, dear Saviour, for having pardoned me my sins. I will never more offend Thee; but for the future try to love and please Thee more and more.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and let all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all that He hath done for thee. As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the LORD compassion on them that fear Him.

O holy Virgin Mary, and all ye angels and saints, bless and praise my dear JESUS for His great goodness to me, His little sinful child.

JESUS, Son of David, have mercy on me! O God, be merciful to me a sinner! Sprinkle me with Thy blood, O JESUS, and I shall be made whiter than snow!

PRAYER BEFORE PENANCE

O just and merciful JESUS, I beg Thee to inspire me with Thy grace, to enlighten my mind and my will that I may be moved to fitting penance for my sins against Thy Majesty, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.

O my God, I offer this penance to Thee, in union with all the prayers said by JESUS during His holy life and bitter Passion, to satisfy Thy infinite justice, which I have offended by my many sins and offer it for the souls in Purgatory, retaining only that which may avail me of the grace to live Thy holy Faith in truth and righteousness. Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
Every day, examine your conscience and pray to God to reveal to you even your most hidden and forgotten sins. Confess to the Lord and do penance daily, always petitioning Him for a firm purpose of amendment and for perfect contrition for your sins.

Meditate daily upon the passion of Our Lord, and do not forsake the HOLY ROSARY.

If it seems like a lot of work, it really is not - it need only take a few minutes in the evening before retiring - and besides, heaven is worth it, the alternative is unbearable, and God has given us ample means to be saved if we sincerely persevere.
